Summary Of Work
During this project we investigated the homeostasis of breathing rates. We investigated this by having our test person run for 200 meters in a time of 60 seconds. After running we tested the breathing rates of our test person every 30 seconds. We did this to show how the breathing rates spiked after strenuous physical activity and the time it took to achieve homeostasis after stopping the activity. We finished the experiment by finding the time it took for the test person's breathing rate to return to their standard breathing rate. We repeated this procedure twice and used a control test person who did not run at all and was only measured for a constant breathing rate.
Below you can see our data and other parts of our project on our google slide. We wrote a procedure along with an introduction, material list, and conclusion to conclude and display our project. You can also view the content we explored in the project my reflection and final thoughts on our lab.

Reflection
There were many positive and negative things that came up throughout the project that I can learn from and improve upon in the future. One positive that happened was the freedom in this project to pick how we could test our part of homeostasis. This allowed us to be creative and really have passion in what experiment we were using. Another positive was the data we received which showed that a regular human takes about 3 and a half minutes for their breathing rate to return to normal after a strenuous activity. This is important to see how the body's breathing system works and how efficient it is. These things will help in other science projects that further my knowledge in STEM concepts.
